In an attempt to stem the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the President of France announced yesterday evening that the government has set up a containment system throughout France as part of the state of health emergency decreed for a period of one month.

As a result, the Vendée Globe is implementing the closure of the Race Village, which will take effect tonight at 11.59 pm.

It is confirmed, that the race will go ahead but without a public audience so we will do our best to communicate as widely as possible all the latest updates from the race and from Team Malizia so all our fans and followers have the latest information. Tomorrow we will publish all the information on how to best follow the start and the race.

We hope you all join us digitally on 8th November on our website where we will be streaming live a helicopter camera and the onboard Seaexplorer-Yacht Club de Monaco’s stern camera!
